Wreaths Across America

Julie and I are excited to announce that we have gotten involved with Wreaths Across America. As many of you know, this is an organization that is trying to place wreaths at Christmas on all the veterans’ graves. It originally started at the Arlington National Cemetery and is spreading across all the National Cemeteries in the United States. We have chosen to become actively involved at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. It presently has over 50,000 veterans their spouses buried there. The cemetery is also near and dear to my family’s heart as both my mother and father are buried there.

About

Presently we are raising donations to insure that there are wreaths for every grave. On December 17th me, Julie, members of our family, (including Quads), and friends will be placing wreaths. Last year our group of 40 assisted in placing 42,000 wreaths across the Dallas-Forth Worth Cemetary. We will reverently place them, speak the name of the veteran, and will say a prayer thanking them for their service to our country. We would welcome anyone that has an interest to come and join us in the solemn celebration.

Take Action

Our group name is FRIENDS FOR VETERANS. There are many options with regard to which type of wreaths you can donate. In many cases it makes for a great gift to give someone!

Years Past…

Julie and I fully appreciate that all of you get inundated with charities and requests for donations each holiday season. We are only extending this to you, if you have heard of this charity in years past and that it is something that has moved you to donate your time or money to. Please know that we will not be made aware of who gave and will not know the amount of the donation. We trust that if you choose to participate that you too will receive personal satisfaction. Our best wishes for all of those of you we know and love and may God bless you!

God bless America and all those that have served and sacrificed for her.
